Riverside at Golden Hour

As a photographer, I feel called to summer’s golden hour. It is the time of day where we greet the ghost of today and the promise of tomorrow. That glowy, warm sun at the end of the day is pure magic and it is by far my favourite time of day to host a photoshoot.

 I recently had the opportunity to connect with women from my community for this gorgeous golden hour solo session.  I placed a model call for a golden hour session in Kitchener near the Grand River. I ended up offering several one on one sessions over the course of two weeks in September. I was just so excited to play in the sun as summer was coming to an end. 

Picture each of us chatting about life and everything in between as the sun dipped beyond the quiet and serene riverside. A simple model call session turned into a celebration of women; through guided poses they captured all things womanhood – femininity, strength, vulnerability, beauty, softness and their unique stories.

It was an amazing experience meeting these women and I am proud to share this collection of photos.
